How Does It Work?
Using Prospector is simple, yet powerful. Here’s how:
1. Open the Prospector tab in your SalesQL dashboard
Click the "Prospector" button on the left menu to access the search interface.
2. Assign a folder for your project
Before adding contacts, select the folder where you want to save them (e.g., “My first folder”). This helps you organize leads by project, campaign, or region.
3. Apply smart filters to refine your search
Filter contacts by:
Full Name
Location (Country, region, or city, e.g., United States of America)
Job Title (e.g., CEO, Marketing Director, CTO)
Industry (e.g., Information Technology and Services)
And more
Example: Find CTOs in the USA.
Explore and manage search results
Prospector will instantly display matching contacts, enriched with:
✅ Verified email addresses
📱 Phone numbers (if available, no credits required, paid plans only)
🔗 LinkedIn profile links
🏢 Company details (name, size, industry, etc.)
In the results list, the right column shows the number of emails and phone numbers for each contact—helpful if you want to add contacts one by one or in bulk.
You can:
Click the + icon next to a contact to add them individually.
Click on a contact’s name to open their full profile for more info.
From the full profile, click “Reveal Info and Add” or use the + icon to add the contact.
4. Add contacts in bulk using pagination
At the bottom right, choose how many contacts to display per page: 20, 50, or 100.
To add all contacts on the current page at once:
Click the checkbox next to the profile pictures to select all contacts on that page.
Then click “Reveal” to add them to your selected folder instantly.
You can organise your lists by project, campaign, region — however it fits your workflow. Saved contacts are ready for:
Export to CSV
Sync with your CRM
How Credits Are Used
Understanding how credits are consumed is key to maximising your plan:
🔹 1 credit = 1 contact with at least one email found
🔹 It doesn’t matter if the contact has 1 or 3 emails — only 1 credit is deducted
🔹 If no email is found for a contact, no credit is charged
🔹 Accessing phone numbers is free for paid plans and does not consume credits
🧾 In short:
Emails found = credit charged
Phones = free (paid plans only)
Select and save the leads you want by adding them to your folders — ready for export or CRM sync via Zapier
