Important: Prospector runs entirely outside LinkedIn. Your LinkedIn account, limits, and activity remain completely unaffected when using it.
Prospector is SalesQL's lead search tool. Define who you're looking for, apply filters, and get a list of matching contacts with verified emails, phone numbers, LinkedIn profiles, and company data — without leaving your dashboard.
How to use it
1. Open Prospector
Go to your SalesQL dashboard and click Prospector in the left menu.
2. Select a folder
Before adding contacts, select the folder where you want to save them (e.g., “My first folder”). This helps you organize leads by project, campaign, or region.
3. Apply your filters
Here's where you define who you're looking for. You can filter by:
Job title (current or past)
Location — contact's or company HQ, separately
Industry — person-level or company-level
Company name, size, type, and founding year
Years of experience or time in current role
One tip before you start: set the Contact Details filter first. It lets you require that results include an email, a phone, or both — and whether they need to be verified. If you skip this, you might end up with contacts you can't actually reach.
Once your filters are set, Prospector shows you all matching contacts instantly.

To add all contacts on the current page at once:
Click the checkbox next to the profile pictures to select all contacts on that page.
Then click “Reveal” to add them to your selected folder instantly.
5. Export or sync your contacts
Once saved, your contacts are ready to:
Export to CSV
Sync with your CRM via Zapier
How credits work
1 credit = 1 contact with at least one email found
Multiple emails for the same contact still count as 1 credit
No email found = no credit charged
Phone numbers don't cost credits on paid plans
The more targeted your filters, the fewer irrelevant contacts you add — and the further your credits go.
